Hello, I’m Gideon Jacob

Firstly, thank you for viewing my site! I am a makeup artist based in Los Angeles, California. I became a makeup artist through trying to get away from the career so far that I ended up running right into it. Looking back at it I think this was the only path for me from the start. From my love of monsters, beginning with Pokémon, to my adoration of horror movies originating with The Ring, it sort of just makes sense. I have a BFA in illustration and told myself it was for character and creature design for video games and movies. The underlying truth of that was that I wanted to do more than just draw up 2D versions of the creatures rampaging through my imagination. I wanted to breathe life into them. I took my education further and graduated from Cinema Makeup School in November of 2023. Now, I am focused on specializing in character and creature makeups from concept to final look. I enjoy every step of the process and love to watch a living breathing being come into reality through my imagination. The stories I can tell, the people I can connect to, and the creativity I get to share is what drives this passion.
